Art echos the brilliance of creation, pointing back to the true, good, and beautiful. Through radiance of color, texture, and multiple art mediums, Sarah Hauer creates an experience for the viewer. Her art is a combination of large scale paintings that are influenced by moving light and depth. She is inspired by Gothic artworks that illuminated reality by artists such as Fra Angelico, Baroque artist Vermeer, and Impressionist artist Claude Monet. She creates with her own feminine voice and finds her purpose in serving others through beauty.
"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. " Philippians 4:8
Sarah Hauer is an Arizona native and a twenty year military wife who resides now in Arizona. She majored in Art (Arizona State University, B.F.A. 2003) and has been active in both art creation and art education in numerous communities. Her work focuses on color, light, and large scale experiences to help bring about a sense of wonder to the viewer. Art should remind the human person of their great potential and beauty, that the depths of the soul can see and choose the good.
She is a high school art teacher and a graduate student at Franciscan University of Steubenville with an anticipated graduation of Winter 2025.
